About me

Dad, Husband, Coach, Runner, Ally, Activist, Founder, Director, Coffee Snob

I like to help people make a positive impact now and into the future. I’m passionate about people, inclusion, equity & equality, children and early education, strategy, leadership, and performance, and am an effective leader at executive and board levels. I am married with 2 children, a running enthusiast, coffee snob, feminist, director, coach, and a trustworthy values-driven peer and mentor. My family is more important to me than any professional opportunity. I’m based in Toowoomba. I'm interested in board, executive, leadership, consulting, coaching, keynote, speaking, podcast, facilitation, advocacy, research or collaboration opportunities. I’m an introvert at my core but an extrovert in my work. I love to connect, collaborate, network, bring people together and facilitate new relationships. Like most I’m averse to micromanagement and being stuck in a box or worse with my head in the sand. I love a healthy, respectful, robust, intelligent conversation about controversial topics.

So what do I actually do? Listen. Observe. Learn. Appreciate. Respect. Research. Read. Reflect. Coach to grow. Build capability. Challenge. Innovate. Improve for the long game. Anticipate future needs / trends. Collaborate. Share. Help. Problem solve. Drop truth bombs and dish out tough love. I speak up. I’m not a pack follower. Not interested in the norm or majority. I’m adverse to mediocrity. I like a quiet space to work without interruptions. I’ve had diverse experiences across a variety of roles and industries, but most recently I’ve become passionate about improving equity across Australia’s education system. I’ve become an accidental activist. I like the saying ‘the standard you walk past is the standard you accept’. Now that I’ve realised the inequity across our school system, I can’t walk past it. I’m an active bystander. I understand that remaining inactive & not speaking up can make me part of the problem, not the solution. I’d like to help create a better world for our children & generations ahead.

If everyone’s thinking alike, then no one is thinking at all.
